  I need to cancel my account. I have received over 80 notifications saying that I have ‘New Registered User’. I think my account has been compromised.

  Hi there,

  There is no way to cancel a wordpress account once created. You can instead empty your site by removing its content and then delete the site linked to the account. Change your password to random string and leave the account inactive.
  Change email address under Account Settings. This will help in creating another wordpress account in future with same email id as every wordpress account is linked to unique email id.

  Once you delete your site you can’t have the same domain name. Read the link below before doing so.

  @yayiandlakegmailcom You haven’t provided a link to the site you need help with, but if it is a site using the standalone WP (org) software, Staff have advised you can disable new user registrations in your settings.
