  How do you cancel your wordpress account?

  Hi there,

  To learn how to deactivate your account carefully read through the Deleting Accounts support page. This process basically entails emptying and deleting your site. Once this is done remove all personal information from your Account Settings and change your password to a random string. This will leave your account inactive and prevent you from gaining access to it in the future.

  Please carefully read through all the options before making a decision; once deleted there’s no getting your content back!

  Just to clarify, it’s not actually possible to delete your account per se, but you can empty it of all content and make it inaccessible to all future parties. This way it will exist in name only.
