  I would like to cancel this account. There does not appear to be a way to cancel it without contacting customer service

  Hi,

  If you would like to cancel/close your WordPress.com account permanently then:

  1. Go to your profile page by clicking on your photo on the top right of the screen.
  2. Click on “Account settings” from the left sidebar.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Close your account permanently”.

  Your WordPress account would be closed.

  P.S. If you want to create something which you could not or want any help, you could tell us in this thread.

  @palbertson111 I can confirm that you have permanently closed your account, which has delete all sites under that account as well as removed your personal data from our service.
