Hi there –
I wish to cancel my accounts/payments. How do I do this? I have moved to another web template host and no longer need word press.
Thanks!
Caroline

Hi there Caroline,
I’ve included information below about how to cancel each of your services:
DOMAIN:
If we cancel your domain (walkerandfearn.com), it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and we can’t guarantee that your domain will be available to you again once canceled.
If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site, using the Domain Administration tool under Store > My Domains in your dashboard.
For more information on using the domain elsewhere, please see:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/However, if you don’t want this domain at all, let me know and I’ll cancel it. I just wanted you to have all the facts before you made your decision!
**
UPGRADES:
Please go to Store → My Upgrades in your Dashboard, or click here:
https://walkerandfearn.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgradesTo cancel an upgrade, click on the Cancel link.
You will be prompted to confirm the cancellation and optionally provide a reason for canceling. Please read all the information and follow the instructions carefully before proceeding.
After requesting the cancellation, you will be sent an email with a link to confirm the cancellation. Your upgrade will not be canceled (and any refunds will not be issued) until you click that link to confirm that cancellation.
**
YOUR WEBSITE:
If you want to permanently delete your site, follow the guide below:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/delete-site/
Please read the warnings and advice before deleting a site, as we can’t revert a site deletion for any reason.
If you want to hide your site instead, you can use the following guide to make your site private so only you and other members of the site can view it when logged in:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
**
YOUR ACCOUNT:
I’m sorry to hear you want to leave WordPress.com. Is there anything you may need help with before you go?
WordPress.com accounts are permanent, and you can find more information about that here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/
You can easily delete your site by following the instructions listed below:
If you are trying to unsubscribe from emails sent to you from WordPress.com, you can follow these steps:
1. Go to Account Settings →Notifications.
2. Check “Block all email updates from blogs you’re following on WordPress.com”, and click Save Changes.https://wordpress.com/settings/notifications/
**
Whew! I think that does it! If you have any questions along the way, or get stuck at all, please let me know and I can help! Thanks so much and best of luck on your new site.

Hi there –
Thanks for the reply. I want to keep my domain – I just want to cancel my wordpress account.
As you say in your response, I don’t need to do anything – but can you confirm no payment will be taken from my account in future?
Many thanks,
Caroline

Hey Caroline,
You had been set up to auto-renew for several of your upgrades. I turned that off, so now your credit card will not be stored or charged.
I do advise you take a look and make sure everything is to your liking:
https://walkerandfearn.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgradesDo keep in mind that your domains will expire in time, if you do not renew them. So, if you’d like you can move them to another host.
If I can help with anything else, please do let me know! All the best to you.

Thanks for the reply, and for amending my auto-renew. I’ll check out my account and let you know if there are any other questions. Thanks again!

Hey Caroline,
I just wanted to check in and make sure all is well. No need to respond, if you’re all set. However, if you do have any questions, please let me know!
Thanks much :)
