  Hi, I would like to close my account. I can’t see how to do it and when I follow instructions it just repeatedly takes me to an UPGRADE page. thanks

  This is something you can (and should) do yourself. The instructions found in this document are step by step and easily followed:

  You will have to remove any upgrades you purchased by going to:
  https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

  Keep in mind that this will ultimately result in permanent removal of all your content so if there is anything you think you might want to save, please do so before proceeding.
