  Hello Staff,

  I need immediate help!
  I got the wrong wordpress! i was supposed to get wordpress.org. Ive been pressing the cancel and refund button but it always says “You must contact support and request deletion.”

  I really want to get my money back.

  Hello –

  It’s no problem to cancel and refund. I would like to confirm with you about what cancelling the domain entails – once you cancel it, you may not be able to get it back. It may be released to be re-registered right away, but not always.

  If you already have the domain you want, I’d suggest keeping it! You can use it with your WordPress.org install as shown here:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/

  As a new registration, you wouldn’t be able to transfer it for 60 days, but you’d be able to still use it.

  If you want assistance using your domain at your self-hosted site, we can help you with it, if you’re sure you want to cancel, that’s fine too. Just let us know. :)
