Hi there!
I’m sorry to hear that. We’d love to help you out, though! If you still need a site, would you like to tell us a bit about the site you need? What’s the site for, and what features would you like to have on your site? We’ll be happy to share personalized suggestions to help you build your site on WordPress.com.
You can also have us build the site for you using our Built By WordPress.com Express service. This service is optional, though. We can still help you with step-by-step guides and tutorials so you can build the site you need with us.
As for the domain, I see that it’s already in the process of being transferred to us. It’s not possible to cancel the transfer from our end at this stage. If you still want to cancel the transfer, you’ll need to decline the transfer from your current registrar’s end so that the transfer fails.
However, we’d love to have you build your site on WordPress.com. So feel free to tell us more about your site. :)

Hello,
I’ve contacted the current registrar and they are seeing what they can do. If the transfer is complete in the meantime, is this able to be reversed or cancelled at that time? Can I just decline the charge on my credit card? I don’t want to waste $20 because of my silly mistake!
The issue is I am just starting off in all of this and totally forgot I already paid for hosting elsewhere when I bought my domain. At this time I really just need a place to experiment and learn, and given that themes and plugins can’t be used on the Free package of wordpress.com, I really want to just use wordpress.org on my current host.
Thanks very much!

@mlvand , I’d recommend against disputing the charge; if the domain is here, that would cancel it and you would lose access to it. When you transfer the domain, a year is added to it, so the money won’t be wasted.
If you are able to cancel the transfer in time, we can make sure to get that refunded. Please update us here when you have more info.

Hello,
My host has successfully blocked the transfer. What further steps do I need to take to get the refund!
I sincerely hope my website idea is profitable so I can return to wordpress.com later on! I’ve been really impressed with your customer service and am very thankful for the help.
Best regards

Hey there,
It looks like a refund has been granted, and so this would appear on the card charged within 10 working days.
We do too hope it’s profitable – and we’re glad of the kind words there. We pride ourselves of our support and hope you can return one day.
