Cancel and refund subscription

    Hello. I was just charged another yearly fee of $35.88. I was not aware I was on a recurring payment plan. I do not use my wordpress account and would like to cancel and refund it. Please let me know how you can help.

    Yes – thanks for checking. I have canceled your subscription for WordPress.com Personal and refunded the charges back to you. It can take between 7-10 business days for the refund to reflect on your bank statement.

    My site http://www.bredenbrock.com expires in January 2019, the renewal fee was paid in December 2017. However, my site is not available anymore. Is it possible that is has been hacked?

    I checked your account and bredenbrock.com expired on 1/18 – there is no sign of a fee being paid under your account. Did you receive a receipt for your payment? If so, let me know and I’d be happy to sort this out for you.

    I am trying to figure out how to cancel my account. I have looked it up, I’ve found that I need to cancel all pages, posts, files and domains. I have tried this but my account is still open.

    Paid 35,88 US Dollars on Dec. 5, 2017 by VISA account. Personal Bundle,(ID redacted). Was told by Nancy on the phone that the account expires January 2019. However my account is not available any more! Account is http://www.bredenbrock.com ? Please reactivate the account!

    I don’t want my account deactivated! I had made a payment for my account http://www.bredenbrock.com to expire in January 2019 with an automatic renewal agreement. So please make sure the account will be accessible again. Should that not be possible any more, let me know why and I will hand this over to my legal adviser.

  • My apologies, I gave you the wrong information after a second look.

    There has not been a refund issued for the personal plan on bredenbrock.wordpress.com. Will you please let me know what exactly you need to happen? I’m happy to help, but just want to be clear on the end goal.

    For what it’s worth, cancelling or removing upgrades and sites from the account will not render it inactive. That’s another process that only the account owner can complete.

    Hi, I have today been forced to create an account just so I can contact WordPress. I have today had the sum of £85.00 taken from my bank account but up until today I never had an account and I do not have a website registered with you either. All I am trying to do is get my money back. If I do not receive a coherent response I will be going to the police and reporting the matter as theft. I do not understand why money has been taken from my account without my authorisation.

As one of the “Happiness Engineers” you are making me very unhappy: my account http://www.bredenbrock.com was de-activated although it doesn’t expire until January 2019 and the fee had been paid in December 2017 by auto-renewal. Therefore, please, make sure that my website is reactivated immediately and remove your note for visitors of the site. It damages my reputation as an author for international clients.

Reply to me directly in that email and I’ll be able to help get the site back up. We have to verify that you have access to the email on that account.

    Liz Karkoski! My account http://www.bredenbrock.com was installed by the wordpress member benyakov. I’ve just talked to him and he will also be in touch with you about my account. Please, make sure that my site is going to be reactivated as soon as possible. I have paid for it and it expires not until 2019. I’ve been invited to various festivals and right now cannot offer a website about my work! That’s a serious damage to my reputation.

    Dear lizkarkoski,

    In an attempt to contribute to solving this matter: I have been helping Claus Bredenbrock installing the website. My account is still connected to the website, I still get emails with upgrading offers from you, also concerning bredenbrock.com, but since years already Claus Bredenbrock is taking care of the websites, the payments and everything else himself.
    He told me about the problem, that there obviously is, as the website is offline since a couple of days, even though all bills are paid, referring to Claus.
    So, concerning the note you wanted to send – none of us both ever received it. I don’t think any other accounts would be connected to the website. So, if you still need any other confirmation on who owns the website, please resend us the note, to confirm.
    I hope this contributes to solving this strange matter.

    My suggestion for future management is that you transfer ownership of the domain registration to cbredenbrock.
