Cancel auto renew

  • Unknown's avatar

Hello, I received an email today saying that my domain ‘bridgeseuro2014.com is about to be automatically renewed on April 29, 2016. You will be charged for this renewal later today. If you don’t want to renew, you can cancel this subscription at Me > Manage Purchases in your WordPress.com account.’ However, when I click on the link in the email which takes me to ‘Manage Purchases’, there is no option to disable any auto renew and when I go to Billing History it says ‘You do not currently have any upgrades.’

How do I cancel this and/or get a refund (if the payment has already been charged)?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hello Mel,

Thanks for reaching out about this. You cannot disable the automatic renewal feature as you’re not the Administrator who purchased the domain.

Only the Administrator who owns the bundle is able to manage its settings. You might want to ask the Administrator who bought the feature to disable the automatic renewal for you, or ask them if they’re okay to transfer the product over you, so you can disable it.

Hope all is clear! Feel free to let us know if there’s anything else you need and we’ll be happy to help :)

I don’t understand – I am the administrator? The blog is mine??

  • @melindabridges You’re one of the Administrators of the site, however another Administrator is the owner of the subscription. You can check the list of all the site users at this page:

Hope this way the situation gets clearer to you :) Let me know if you have any other questions!
