The domain mapping must be removed before you proceed.
See: Deleting a site with upgrades https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/#deleting%C2%A0a-site-with-upgradesPlease read this support doc also https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#auto-renew
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and to disable auto-renew.
Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
To make sure you succeed I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this forum threads for a Staff follow-up. Hi @sarahgabriel25, this domain was registered under another user. Are you able to log out, then log in again using the email address that gets renewal notifications?
Or if you need a hint as to who owns it, you can see the other users on your account here:
https://wordpress.com/peopleBasically, as soon as you’re logged in as the domain owner, you can cancel or contact us to have us cancel it for you. You just can’t do that as the non-owner.
