Cancel Automatic Renewals
-
How can I cancel automatic renewals? My former collegue created this blog, which we keep using. However we thought that after one year the blog will be canceled or we get formally asked to renew. What actually happened is that without any information they wordpressed prolonged the blog as well as deducted money from the credit card. If we decide NOT to renew the blog next time, how can we cancel payment and renewal? I couldn’t find any proper information on that. For this year we might still make use of the blog, however the companies credit card shouldn’t be charged without any prior information or possibility to cancel.
Thank you for your help.Best Regards.

WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours. https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
See here:
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades

Hi sophiemariehofer,
Auto renew can be turned off from the account of the user who owns the upgrade, which in this case is not the account you are currently logged into. If you have the upgrade owner log into WordPress and go to the link below, they will be able to turn off auto renew by clicking the “Disable Auto Renew” link under the upgrade in question.

Let me know if you have any questions about that.
