cancel/change domain name

    Hello,
    A silly thing happened and shortly after naming my site, it was brought to my attention that there is a podcast of the same name. My site is not live yet, so is there a way I can make a new site name, or do I have to cancel and start over?

    You are starting up a new podcast? I can confirm that you have changed your “wordpress.com” site address. I can also confirm your custom domain purchase was refunded here: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/

    If you’re just getting started in podcasting, we have a few resources that may help you get off the ground with your site!

    I hope those help! We have podcasting support built in so your site can easily become the hub you use to upload your podcast audio, host show notes, share your feed with Apple Podcasts, and promote it over social media with automated sharing.

    Also i wanted to point out that it’s not possible to upload audio to free sites on WordPress.com (which would require you to use another service for your audio hosting) but you do gain that option plus extra storage space for your files if you upgrade to the Personal plan.

    Also worth noting that if you choose the annual (not monthly) billing option it includes a free domain for the first year for added savings.
