Cancel Domain

I would like to cancel my existing domain. I am not eligible for a refund, but thats OK. I would like the domain name to no longer exist and I would like to revert to a regular wordpress.com address for my blog. I dont see a “cancel” link under my subscription status.
Can anyone please help with this?

I’d be glad to permanently cancel the domain senseofanending.com if you no longer want it.
Just a heads-up that canceling a domain means you completely give up ownership of the domain. There is no guarantee the domain will become available to re-register after cancellation.
You are welcome to keep your domain with us and update the nameservers to point to another hosting provider by following this guide:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/After 60 days from the date of purchase or registrant contact information change, you may also transfer your domain to another registrar.

Thank you for the response. Yes I would like to cancel my domain permanently and understand that it may not be available for registration in the future.
Just to confirm though, I have changed my blog address to serendipitousheaven.wordpress.com and I should still be able to access my blog at this URL?
