I’d like to cancel my domain prior to the it’s renewal on June 11, 2014. Can you please give me instructions on how to cancel it?

Which blog URL and which domain URL are you referring to please?
The top level domain here is wordpress.com and all WordPress.com hosted blogs are on .wordpress.com sub-domains like http://codyandlisa.wordpress.com/Are you actually referring to deleting a blog on a sub-domain?
To delete a free hosted WordPress.COM blog you must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered a blog to delete the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

Thank you for your responses. I actually purchased codyandlisa.com through WordPress and would like to cancel that domain and delete the blog.
Through other services I can simply prevent the domain registration from renewing. Is there a way to do that through the WordPress dashboard?

To disable autorenew, provided you are logged in under the exact same username account that purchased the upgrades go to > Store > My Upgrades and click the “disable auto-renew” link.

Hi there,
As timethief mentioned, you will need to be logged in with the same username used to purchase the domain in order to disable the auto renewal. If you aren’t sure who purchased the domain, you can check at Store > My Upgrades in the blog’s dashboard, next to “Purchased by” under the domain name.
I can also help you cancel the domain before the expiration date so you can delete the blog. However, I need the domain owner (the user who purchased the domain) to confirm that request. That user can either reply to this thread or contact us directly for help with that.
Also, please keep in mind that cancelling (or not renewing) a domain means that you give up ownership of that domain name completely. There’s no guarantee that you will be able to register that domain again in the future, either here at WordPress.com or with another registrar.
