  i tried to cancel the domain phm2015ff.wordpress.com – but cannot. please delete it, thank you, patricia hm

  Hi Cecilia – you made my day! I went to tools and got it deleted.
  Problem was that I already have a wordpress blog and thought I could also create a proper website here, when I realised, it was a blog too (and then I had 2 blogs) –

  For the record be aware that a blog is a website.

  A blog is a post based website specifically designed for interactive communication. As the posts are frequently published and updated, and as they appear on the front page of the site, it’s very attractive to search engines.

  What most people call a website is merely a page based site that functions as a one way noticeboard. As the structure is page based and as pages are for static content that rarely changes, and as pages do not have RSS feeds, and as others do not backlink to pages, it is not as attractive to search engines as a post based blog structured site is.

  I’ve just realized that yoy had another problem. The blog-site thing … A blog is a site and with wordpress you can create “still pages”. This pages will appear on you site with a static information (it depends on the content you put on them). For example you could do a “contact us” form. the answer above explains this in detail.
