    I am canceling my domain and deleting my site mondodiffracto.com

    I want to cancel two domains. Not only is wordpress support ignoring me, but support is hard to contact. I think they do that on purpose. Instead of contacting me to change the nameservers, I keep getting email after email about domain expiration. And now they’ve sent me an email threatening Icann fines. I’ve really had enough of this, and want to say goodby to wordpress. I don’t need the aggravation.

    What are both domain URLs please?

    Exactly which username account purchased each upgrade?

    Exactly which underlying .wordpress.COM blog was each upgrade purchased for?

    Important note: If you purchased a domain name via wordpress.com Staff need to know whether or not you want to keep the domain name and use it on another site.

    WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.

    Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

    You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

    Note that when we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did that for you.

    The support docs at http://support.wordpress.com are easy to find and there are links to them all over this site, for example, at the bottom of this page and every Admin page on your site. However, now that I tagged this thread with modlook you do not need to use them or what follows. All you need is patience.

    I’m very sorry if you have found any problem to make this request. Could you tell me what exactly you did? So we can check if there is any issue to address this situation.

    The emails you’re receiving are for your domain upgrades that will expire next month, as you can see it here:

    Because the domain cancellation process is complicated, we let our users know in advance that their domain will expire soon, so they can renew before they lose it. If a domain isn’t renewed before it expires, depending of the number of days it’s expired, it can have a $80 fee to get it back.

    We can cancel “mondodiffracto.com” for you, but before that I would like to warn you that once you cancel a domain, it’s not guaranteed that you can have it back.

    Let us know what you want to do, then we can proceed with your request.

    Hello,
    my sincere apologies for having an online meltdown :( I’m not upset with wordpress. I won’t make any excuses, I was not being very nice. I’ve had blogs for many years now. I’ve never had any problems with the wordpress support team or wordress.com at all. I was having an issue unrelated to wordpress and it boiled over.

    Anyway, I need to let both domain names expire next month. Yes I know it will be forever. I just can’t maintain so many blogs. I won’t be deleting all the blogs. I’m sure that’s really good news for you, after my tirade.

    You can still use your domains until expires, then you can use your free WordPress.com domain.
