  I would like to cancel my domain and delete the site. How do I do that?

  Hi there,

  To delete your site with a custom domain upgrade, you’ll need to do one of the following:

  – move the domain upgrade to another WordPress.com site

  – transfer the domain registration to another domain registrar

  – fully cancel the domain (you will lose the ownership of the domain and there is no guarantee you can register it again). If you really do want to go through with this method, I will need to cancel your domain for you. Let me know the name of the domain you want to get rid of and I will take care of it!

  After the custom domain is unlinked from the site, you can use the site deletion tool to permanently remove the site. Here’s a bit more information about that:

  Please make sure to read the warnings and advice before deleting a site. We can’t revert the deletion of a site for any reason.
