Cancel domain and delete site

I need to delete an old blog (www.larbkhai.net) and cancel/release the domain name. What should I do?

I can help you with that.
However, the user account you are posting from is not the user account that owns the domain in question. So you will need to regain access to the owning account before it can be deleted.

I am the user account that created the domain. I created http://www.larbkhai.net many years before migrating it to wordpress.

I believe you. However, you did not do it with the account you are posting from.
The site is owned/created and the domain purchased with a different account.

If you log into your site’s dashboard and go to Users–> All Users, you should be able to see the name of the other user. They are also an admin (because they own the site).

Thanks rootjosh – I’ve now logged on as the primary user of that website. I cannot see anywhere a feature to ‘cancel domain’. I know where ‘delete site’ is but I cannot do that before cancelling the domain registration, can I?

Not a problem, now that you have logged in as the domain owner, I can help you out with canceling.
Just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain larbkhai.net it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can’t guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using larbkhai.net again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel.
Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it and remove the upgrade from your account.
