Cancel domain mapping

    I need to cancel domain mapping for self-proclaimed.com.

    And frankly, there should be a better way to handle this than posting to the public forum. I have a number of paid upgrades, and having to handle it this way is just silly.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Sorry, the pulldown menu defaulted back to one of my other blogs. The blog I actually need help with is self-proclaimed.com.

    I also need help with this…:(

    Just curious if this is ever going to be resolved. You are essentially holding my domain hostage at this point. A simple “cancel” button by all paid upgrades would keep your customers much happier.

    It has been nearly a month. Still waiting…

    I’ve found a workaround for redirecting my site, but there’s no reason to continue to pay for the domain mapping. Please cancel this upgrade.

    @wannabef
    Although self-proclaimed.com has been registered, it is not using WordPress.com nameservers. If your domain is mapped to a self-hosted site, then your configuration may be fine as currently set up.

    self-proclaimed.com is hosted by BlueHost
    WHOIS
    Name Servers:
    ns2.hostmonster.com
    ns1.hostmonster.com

    Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrades, you can request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
    There is also where you can click the “disable auto-renew” link.

    WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.

    Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

    @onceuponaparchment
    The blog linked to your username here is a free blog being free hosted by WordPress.COM and shows no sign of any domain mapping that I ca detect. Please provide all relevant details in this thread for Staff.

    What is the URL of the udnderlyining .wordpress.com blog?
    What is the URL of the domain being domain mapped to form that blog?

    @timethief, I had used the domain mapping for a few years on the site. It is only recently that we’ve moved away to a .org setup. I transferred the hosting a month ago and also worked out the redirects on my own. I just want to make sure I’m no longer needlessly paying for the upgrade.

    Thanks for the reply!

    If you are paying anything then it will be found in your Dashboard at:
    Store > My Upgrades
    and
    Store > Billing History

    View Your Receipts and Purchase History
