cancel domain mapping

  I want to reclaim my url for another project. I see that some people have had success doing this by cancelling the domain mapping upgrade, however when I click the link to do so, a blank pop-up appears and I am unable to confirm deletion. I am having one hell of a time trying to pry my domain out of wordpress.com’s hands… not pleased!

  Hi Megan,

  Sorry for the trouble! I just canceled that domain mapping upgrade so it’s no longer on your WordPress.com account.

  Just to clarify, though, that domain mapping upgrade doesn’t actually control where your domain is pointed and being used. Since your domain is registered with a different domain registrar, the changes you make with your domain registrar will determine where your domain is pointed.

  Hey, thanks for your help. I do have my name servers etc pointed accordingly. The domain just kept pointing back into an empty WordPress.com space. Everything is working properly now that the domain mapping has been removed. Thank you kindly 👊
