Cancel Domain Mapping for wrong mapping of subdomain

  • Unknown's avatar

I wanted to map blog.mindme.io to mindmeio.wordpress.com but because I was not very clear how to do it I’ve got mindme.io to map to my blog at mindmeio.wordpress.com.

So, I’m planning to cancel, get refund and start over.

… unless, it is possible to fix that differently.

I believe that way will be much easier for everyone.

    Thanks,
    Neven.

It appears that the easiest would be to cancel it.

Then you get refund within several days; or … you (that’s what I did) immediately purchase the correct option/upgrade with the credit received from cancelation – even before it goes back/forth.

It seems they try to make it as hard as possible to do this, to con you into spending more money. There is no easy way to do what should just be automatic. When a domain mapping contract expires it should just expire, but wordpress seems to be trying to extort users. If I don’t see an improvement soon I’m moving all of my content.
