Cancel Domain Mapping Renewal
-
If I cancel domain mapping of this site now, does it continue to map until Feb 17, 2016 as it states below or does it cancel the domain mapping immediately?
“Canceling will prevent automatic renewal, and we will leave this purchase active until February 17, 2016.”
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The domain mapping will continue to work until the expiration date listed. At that time the domain will stop working unless you either renew the domain mapping or update the domain’s name servers to point to a different host.

My domain expired in March, 2015. I failed to renew it back then. On Nov. 11, 2015; I tried to repurchase it and got charged $18 for domain and mapping (as previous years). However, till date, when I visit my domain i see “The webpage is not available”. Please, what am I to do?

@michaelasuquo – The domain, michaelasuquo.com, is not currently registered. I’ve tagged this for a staff member to assist because as a volunteer I’m not able to see the details of your account.

Hi, @michaelasuquo
It looks like your domain registration didn’t go through, because your old expired subscription was still stuck in the system.
I have cancelled the stuck upgrades, and added a credit of $18 to your account so you can try to register that domain again. It is showing as available, so it should work, but let me know if you run into any trouble.

Thanks so much guys. It worked. I’m back up! Meanwhile, I have another question: if later on, I decide not to be listed as the buyer of the domain, will an option to achieve that still exist? I didn’t take up the option this time around, but just considering it for the near future.
If it would exist, please, how would I get to it?

Do you mean private registration? You can buy private registration at a later date, yes. See here for instructions:
