Cancel domain – notification pop up

  My domain has expired and I want to cancel the domain. I already chose the option to cancel the domain “avessoart.com.br” but the domain is still linked to the website avessoart.wordpress.com. How can I change that so my website is still visible? A notification keeps popping up saying “Uh oh! Your blog’s domain avessoart.com.br expired 20 days ago!”.

  Same thing happening to me – says I can’t cancel it cos it wasn’t registered with WordPress when in fact it was….
