Cancel Domain. This is ridiculous. I’ve jumped thru all the hoops. In the end it tells me to contact support.

That’s most likely because you are not logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased upgrades for it.
What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the site you refer to please?
And, exactly which username account registered that site and purchased the upgrades?
I’m asking because we cannot accurately answer questions posted here until we have confirmed the URL referred to and verified the hosting. And, that is why we are all prompted to provide the relevant URL when we create a new thread.

WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
Note: If you purchased a domain URL through wordpress.com and wish to keep it to use it on another site then, of course, there will be no refund for that portion of the upgrade.
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. I was in the log-in (admin) acct I opened the site with as far as I could tell.
I even received the confirmation email, etcI am within the 48 hour window. I’m wondering if these hoops aren’t there so I can’t actually make my cancellation and get a full refund.
