Cancel Expired Domain

    Hi! I (stupidly) bought the domain alt-milf.com to point to my blog last year and it has since expired. I’m now getting the warning “You cannot cancel this domain because it was not registered with WordPress.com. Please contact support.” when I try to cancel the domain. Can someone please help me? Thanks! I’d like to just use the domain licensedtochill.wordpress.com. Or you could give me help in creating a not terrible domain.

    Are you logged in with the username account that purchased the domain? (According to the WhoIs, the domain is registered with Wild West Domains and has WPcom nameservers and is in the redemption period https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/ )

    If so, please try these instructions https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/cancel-domain/ and set your WPcom address licensedtochill.wordpress.com as primary.

    If that doesn’t work for you, please post back here and/or add the MODLOOK tag to the sidebar for Staff assistance.

    Perhaps in the meantime, another forum volunteer will assist as well.

    Thanks, I have tried using my username account that purchased the domain and it isn’t working. I’ve already set licensedtochill.wordpress.com as my primary and I’m still getting a warning overlay every time I visit the website. Can you please address this?
