Cancel expired domain name

  Hi, a friend purchased a WP domain for us (overthehedgecafe.com) which we don’t use and is now expired.

  Even though we have overthehedgecafe.wordpress.com set as the primary domain name our website is not accessibly at the moment because it’s referring to the expired domain name.

  How do I delete this registered domain name so our site can be accessed again?
