Cancel mapping purchase

How can I cancel my domain mapping purchase if the purchase manager page won’t load?

Which upgrade are you referring to?
Which blog URL are you referring to?
Which username account registered that site and purchased the upgrade for it?
Exactly when was the upgrade purchased?
WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew.
Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

Thank you Timethief. I am logged in as admin in my account. It wasn’t an upgrade but a mapping purchase. What happened was that as well as my own site which I closed some time ago, I was also part of a joint blog. I’m setting up a new site but somehow I mapped my new domain to the joint blog that I was also part of some time ago. Then when I realised I removed myself from the joint blog thinking my domain would stay with my account but no, it’s gone. When I go into Manage Purchases the page still won’t load so I am unable to change anything. I’m in touch with my friend on the joint blog so I’m sure we’ll sort it out.

Hi there,
I can help you cancel that upgrade, but you should be able to do it yourself from the Purchases page. If that page won’t load for you, it might be something we need to fix.
To rule out a browser problem, can you please clear your browser cache and cookies? Can you also make sure that your browser is updated to the newest version.
If that doesn’t work, please let me know, and please include your browser name and version so I’d be able to test this further after I cancel the upgrade for you. Thanks :)

Hi Kokkieh,
I have done as you asked and cleared cache and cookies and restarted my mac with no change i.e. the manage purchases page still won’t load. My browser is Safari 9.0.2
Thanks! -
Thanks for trying that. I have cancelled and refunded your mapping upgrade for you so you won’t have to wait while we fix this.
If you don’t mind, can you please confirm whether you have problems with any other pages in the dashboard.
For example, can you load the Reader at https://wordpress.com/
My Sites at https://wordpress.com/stats/
Your account settings at https://wordpress.com/me/account
Your WP-Admin dashboard at http://ailsarobertsondotcom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/And can you load those pages in a different browser (if you have one installed)?

Thank you!
It seems I can navigate everywhere else within my account, through Reader or any other way. I don’t have another browser installed.
I just wanted create a new site using wordpress that uses my new domain. Can I do that? -
The purchases page loads for me in Safari 9 without any problems, so I can’t think why it won’t load for you. Do you have any browser extensions installed, specifically anti-virus or ad-blockers? Try disabling them and check if you can load the purchases page then.

When you say “wordpress”, do you mean here on WordPress.com, or a self-hosted site using the WordPress.org software?
If you want a site here on WordPress.com, then you can create a new site by going to My Sites ->Switch Site ->Create new WordPress. That will create a new free site with a WordPress.com address. Then you connect the domain you already own to that site with the domain mapping upgrade as you did on your current site.
If you want a self-hosted site, you’ll need to find a web host and set up a site with your domain there. We don’t provide support for self-hosted sites, but you can ask in the WordPress.org forums, here:

The purchases page now loads and I can see that you have refunded the mapping purchase.
Thanks for all you help and information! -
I’m glad to hear it’s loading now. It might have been a temporary connection problem, then :)
Glad I could help.
