    I would like to immediately cancel. I thought I had already done this and my site has been inactive for almost two years. how do I cancel? Thanks!!

  • Hi @studio72ministries, you cancelled upgrades a few years ago, and you haven’t any charges from us since. At least not on this account — let us know if you’re referring to another.

    But the site and account are still live. You’re welcome to make the site private, or delete it if you’re sure you do not want it anymore and never will.

    And if the site is deleted, you can remove the account like so:

    Close Your Account

    Hey, thanks for the reply! This clarifies my actual question. I just got charged $99. I thought I would not be charged anymore. What do I need to do so I am not charged that anymore. And, is there a way to get a refund for that $99 charge?

  • We have absolutely no history of purchases, transactions, or billing activity of any kind under the account you’re currently logged into since December of 2015.

    If you enter the charge details at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ we should be able to help you with this.

    If you the charge is located using the above site, but you are not presented further options, please contact us via https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?whywasi=charged

    OK, new question. How do I figure out why I keep getting charged $99 each year and how do I stop that from happening? I just found the admin page for that site and it says there are no charges (as you correctly indicated). However, this is the site linked to the receipt I received for the $99 charge (on November 22, 2019) and my credit card definitely paid $99 to WordPress. To my knowledge, I don’t own any other sites. So, I need some way to track down why I am getting this charge. I would also love to figure out how to get a refund if that is possible.

    I just followed the link provided above. It says that it is for WordPress Premium for cccstudio72.wordpress.com.

    As far as I know, that is the same site that indicates no charges since 2015.

    What am I missing?

  • The only site in the account you’re using to post here is https://studio72ministries.wordpress.com/

    cccstudio72.wordpress.com is a completely different site that belongs to a different account.

    Our billing support team will be able to provide you with a refund for that site once they’ve verified your payment info, and also help you regain access to the other account if needed. Please be patient while waiting for a reply via email from them.

    I don’t actually see a support ticket from you in the billing support queue. Did you submit it via https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?whywasi=charged?

    If you submitted it using a different email than the one connected to your studio72ministries account that would explain why I don’t see it, so no need to re-submit in that case. I just want to make sure your request didn’t get lost between your browser and our servers :)

    In the meantime you should contact your bank and tell them.
    I had a similar issue with Microsoft. I was refunded within days after complaining.
