  I am trying to cancel my domain, can you please help me with that?

  Hello there,
  We need details please.
  1. What is the domain URL?
  2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
  3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the upgrade for it?
  4. When was the upgrade purchased?

  Hi @xoestefani, your domain expired and you already cancelled it. It has been returned to the registrar. It won’t be available for purchase again anytime soon though. Was that your intent, or do you want us to try to get it back?

  The domain says it’s still taken but it’s not as when I go to it, it’s wordpress. Is there a lock on it?

  They are locked after cancellation, yes. Do you want us to try to get it back?

  Why are they locked? I’d like it unlocked but not to get the domain through wordpress.

  @xoestefani this is not possible. When you cancel a domain it is returned to the registrar. There are just a few days where it can be un-cancelled, then the registrar can sell the domain to someone else or charge you a redemption fee to buy it back.
