  If you want to delete your WordPress.com account, note that WordPress.com accounts cannot be deleted permanently once created.

  This is because WordPress.com doesn’t want other people to have your username in the future – it is not possible to delete a WordPress.com username.

  But if you still wish to deactivate your account and leave WordPress, you can follow the instructions given here.
