Cancel my site and transfer my domain name

    I’d like to close down my WordPress site but keep my domain name as I’ve re-written my website with a different provider. Please could you tell me what is the best way of doing this?

    Hi @melan106, melanie-stevens.com isn’t actually registered or hosted through us. Is that the domain you need help with?

    If so, generally you’ll contact your new host to find out the correct name servers, then update those in your domain settings. It takes effect as soon as the internet forgets the old settings; usually within a few hours or half a day or so. Rarely, longer.

    If that’s not the domain you need help with, and you have a domain purchased through us on another account, can you log in as that user and update us here so we can advise?
