    I decided to upgrade my blog site, firstly I paid £11.00 via paypal for a domain name, which did not come up correctly. Secondly I upgraded the blog by paying £64.00.

    I have not had a good experience with setting up my new blog and I feel really frustrated with it. Could I have a complete refund, as I now wish to close the site down completely.

    I have been really frustrated with wordpress, not being able to talk to somebody directly has proved impossible. I paid out £68 and £11 on Saturday and a further £15 was taken, for reasons I do not know.

    I wish to be reimbursed all the money please as I have closed down my account with you. I no longer wish to have a wordpress account and would be very grateful if you could respond to this email asap.

    If you can reimburse my paypal account at your earliest convenience.

    I am very unhappy with your customer service.

    I’m happy to help sort this out and make sure you are refunded fully.

    I think some of the confusion may be that the upgrades you are looking for, the £68 and £11 charges, did not occur from this account.

    On the account that you’re signed in with and posted from here in the forums, judmas, I see only a 18 charge that was refunded already. Refunds can take up to ten business days to reach your account.

    Each WordPress.com user account requires a unique email address. You would have used a different email address than the one connected to this account.

    Do you have the emailed receipts for the other charges? We can lookup the charges with the information on those receipts.

    Hi judmas sorry for your troubles I know it can get very frustrating when payments accounts blogs etc get delayed or there is some malfunction.
    As a WP member (I’m not staff!) I myself paid for an account on a blog in the early days. Luckily I didn’t run into any complications, but I found, after cancelling ALL payments later, that running WP blogs/sites as a free/unpaid member is just as good as being a paid member.
    I’ve been on WP now about 4-5 years and being a free/unpaid member has been really great, so I just wanted to say that not having a premium account you can still have joy being a free/unpaid member, and open as many blogs as you like. The only difference being an free/unpaid blog holder you don’t get WP 24/7 Live chat help with staff. Otherwise it’s absolutely great. You can get all your help on forums on emails or by googoling the WP info’s.
    I just wanted to try and say maybe reconsider staying on with WP, just as a free/unpaid member. I love WP. Wishing you all the best and hope you sort it all out. So long.

  • judmas – I’ve refunded the remaining charges of 68, 15, and 11 Euros for a total refund of 84 Euro. These charges were found under a different user account. Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.

    I have gone into my PayPal account and the two refunds for £11 and £68 are pending. When will they clear. So I can transfer money back into my account?

    We have released the funds to PayPal. I am not certain how long they plan to hold them. You’ll want to get in touch with PayPal directly to learn exactly when you can expect the refund to process through them.
