Cancel my subscription – taking my money!

    I cancelled my subscription over a year ago now and I have just had £22 taken from my Paypal account. I am following instructions to ensure my plan is cancelled (go into purchases) but there is nothing there!!! I want my money back and this page deleted please.

    Hi kenziepm,

    I cancelled my subscription over a year ago now and I have just had £22 taken from my Paypal account.

    The upgrades for my-lifeblog.com were active on your account and recently auto renewed. Your account shows you disputed the payment to WordPress.com and PayPal has issued a chargeback against us. Chargebacks are a tool for fraud prevention:

    Chargebacks and Disputes

    We would be happy to issue a refund but we are unable to do so while there is a chargeback. When a chargeback is issued, all upgrades on your account are removed and your site is locked until you pay a chargeback fee or cancel the chargeback. Once the fee is paid or the dispute has been cancelled, your account returns to normal.

    If the dispute was made in error please try to cancel it with PayPal. Until it is cancelled, we cannot issue a refund from our side as the payment is locked.

    I can issue a refund once our system shows the dispute has been cancelled. I will also remove any upgrades from your account to ensure you won’t be charged for them again in the future.

    I have cancelled the charge back on paypals website.

    When a dispute is cancelled through the PayPal website it is put into a queue. Although you have request for the dispute to be cancelled, PayPal may not have actioned it yet. Our system shows the chargeback is still in place which means the payment is still locked from our side at the moment.

    It may be possible to speed the process up if you contact PayPal directly by telephone.

    Thanks for cancelling the dispute. I’ve cancelled your upgrades and refunded £22 to you. There is a copy of the refund receipt in your Billing History:

    Refunds usually take 7-14 business days to show on your statement, although international refunds (outside the US) can take a little longer.

    You can now delete your site and deactivate your account if you wish. Please be aware that both of these actions are permanent and cannot be reversed. Only delete your site if you are sure you won’t need the WordPress.com address again in the future.
