Cancel my Theme plan
-
In order to permanently delete my site, I apparently have to cancel this purchase…how do I go about doing this? I do not see a ‘cancel’ option, is it because it is a one time purchase? But WordPress is still requiring me to ‘cancel’ this purchase…please lead me to the right direction! Thank you.

Though you do not say which upgrade I assume you have purchased a premium theme.
Do you want Staff to transfer the theme to another wordpress.COM hosted site site you have registered?
Premium themes have to be removed by Staff or transferred to another WordPress.COM hosted site of yours before the site they are on currently can be deleted. Deleting a site with upgrades https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/#deleting%C2%A0a-site-with-upgrades
I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. Hi layalabuhamdeh,
There are two sites with Premium Themes in your account. Can you confirm which site you would like to delete? Once I know for sure, I can remove the theme for you.
Thanks!

Hi layalabuhamdeh,
I’ve removed both themes — you should be able to delete your sites now.
Come back to me if you have any problems.

Hi Gemma,
Thank you for removing both themes. I have deleted my site, but when I search for it on google, it is still the first URL that pops up on the first page, but then when I click on the link it obviously says “website no longer exists”… but is there any way to remove the URL completely on the search engine? I have created a new website “layalhamdeh.com” and as of now it is on the bottom on the search results…I’m trying to make it come up first, and replace the https://layalchannel.wordpress.com/.
Thank you for your help!

Hi layalabuhamdeh,

It can search engines 4-6 weeks to reflect any changes to your site or its content. Google needs to make the change so I’m afraid it’s not something we can’t speed up from our end.
but is there any way to remove the URL completely on the search engine?
There isn’t a way for WordPress.com to remove your old site from search results but you can try Google’s ‘Removed outdated content’ tool:
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals
You will need to enter the URL copied from Google search results, not the actual URL of your site (layalchannel.wordpress.com).
I’m trying to make it come up first, and replace the https://layalchannel.wordpress.com/
In case you haven’t already seen them, we have a couple of great posts about SEO which contain tips for creating search engine friendly content: How to Publish Posts that Search Engines Will Love and SEO and Your Blog.
I hope this helps!
