Cancel premium but keep domain ($26)
-
Hey there,
last year, I’ve purchased a premium plan for my wordpress.com site including a domain. Now I’d like to cancel the plan but keep the domain for my site. For a different wordpress.com site, I pay $26 a year. That’s all I really need. I can’t find this option for my other wordpress.com site. Any help is appreciated here!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, @mathpsyched
Are you speaking of the Premium Plan for your site, mathpsyched.wordpress.com ? I see that upgrade was bought in August, so it is beyond the point where we can refund it. We only offer refunds for the first 30 days after buying an upgrade.
With that in mind, you might want to consider keeping the Premium Plan until it expires next year. Then you can just contact us at that time to renew only the domain.
Or if you want to cancel the plan now, I can do that for you as well. Just let me know how you would like to proceed.

I see. In that case, I guess it makes sense that I keep the plan and contact you again right before it is due to expire.
One more thing: I have two sites in one account and another site in a different account. Can I somehow merge them into one account? I’ve tried changing the email address (hoping it would realize that an account with this email address already exists), but it didn’t work.
Thank you!

You can transfer a site from one account to another, yes.
To do that, please go to the WP-Admin dashboard and click on My Blogs. To reach the WP-Admin dashboard, just add “wp-admin/” at the end of your free WordPress.com address.
On that screen you should see an option to transfer the blog to another owner. Click on that, give the username of the account to which you want to transfer, and click the link in the confirmation email.
If the site you’re transferring has a custom domain it won’t transfer immediately, but will generate a support request as we will need to transfer the domain to a new owner manually for you.
