Cancel Premium, Keep Domain?

  I have a client who purchased a premium site + free domain.

  Turns out, she can’t use wp.com, she needs a self-install.

  How can she cancel her purchase for wp.com premium but then pay for her domain so she doesn’t lose it (and can point it to self-install wp)?

  When you request for a premium plan cancellation you can mention your intent to hold on to the domain name that came along with it. It is when WordPress.com will take a registration fee for your DOMAIN and refund the difference amount.
