cancel privacy upgrade

I am trying to cancel my privacy upgrade in order to transfer my domain to a new registrar. It keeps saying “There was a problem removing the Private Registration upgrade from your domain. Please try again or contact support if the issue continues.”
Please let me know what to do.

I have canceled the Private Registration on your domain. You can now unlock the domain and obtain the EPP Authorization code to transfer it. If you need more information, please view this support guide.
