Cancel Refund Not Working
-
I recently made this mistake of deleting this blog, “paulettemaldendotcom1.wordpress.com”
What I’m trying to do is associate or transfer the premium upgrade purchased for paulettemaldendotcom1.wordpress.com with a new domain which I would like to purchase through wordpress…
However, I can’t seem to transfer that upgrade – so I was trying to start over or cancel and refund the paulettemaldendotcom1.wordpress.com subscription but the “Cancel and Refund” button doesn’t seem to function at all.
I’d prefer a transfer option, but if that cant work then I’d like to cancel, refund, and start the process over.
Best,
Paulette -
Ok so because the site was deleted….I can’t transfer it. I’ve learned that much. However I do need a cancel and refund please. It isn’t working the way it should the button is essentially a dysfunctional button. It doesn’t point to anywhere because the site was deleted. On mistake of course.

Too bad you acted prematurely. I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrades, you can request a refund yourself directly from the Store section of your Dashboard, and also request a refund and disable auto-renew there.
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgradesNote: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
Of course you cannot claim a refund because you deleted the underlying .wordpress.com blog URL prematurely. Staff will also assist with that when they work their way forward to this thread.

the new domain….is paulettemalden.com
I need the new package refunded…I can’t upload the template I wanted to.
Thanks!

Aside from posting multiple threads and causing confusion you have already been answered by Staff here. You have been refunded. You have been sent two receipts. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/cancel-refund-not-working-2?replies=4#post-2269898

@Staff
Please close the multiple threads posted on this same issue which has already been resolved. -
I purchased a second package after the refund…I need to be refunded again.
Not to worry because Staff will deal with that when they work their way forward to this thread. Do not purchase any upgrades at all while waiting please. Do not create any new threads either please.
-
That is already understood now.
Please stop posting into any of the threads you created and be patient while waiting in this one. -
Hi there,
You have already registered a domain on this Premium package. Did you want the domain cancelled as well, or did you want it held on to?
Let me know as quickly as possible please, as the domain can only be refunded within the first 48 hours after purchase.
Thanks!

I can certainly do that for you, but it’s important for you to know that even if your domain is cancelled immediately it can take several days for it to be released back to the general public for re-registration.
As long as you’re OK with that I’ll proceed with cancelling. If you’re not, I can hold off on deleting the domain and can just get rid of the premium package and refund the difference.

I’m ok with the complete refund, and the time that it will take for the domain to become available again. Thank You!

OK, that’s great! Sorry for so much back and forth.
I have taken care of all of that. Your domain and WordPress.com premium have both been cancelled and the fee has been refunded back to your bank. You should expect to see it back in your account within the next few days to couple of weeks, depending on your bank’s refund policy.
Have a great week!
