Cancel Subscription

    I’m looking at my account and there is no trace of the charge I got today. I want to cancel my subscription, but it doesn’t allow me to. I feel a bit burned by this, I don’t feel like I got a head up about this, had I known I would have acted. Is there anything we can do about this?

    Log in to your WordPress.com account and go to https://wordpress.com/me/purchases to cancel what you no longer want.

    Hi nametagone,

    The account you are contacting us from hasn’t purchased any upgrades on WordPress.com, which is why there is no option for cancelling them. This suggests you have another account.

    What is the address of the site you would like to cancel the upgrades for? Please don’t share any transaction IDs or card details here, a site address is the only information I need for now.

    If you haven’t done so already, please try logging out of WordPress.com and then log back in using the email address your purchase receipt was sent to. Once logged into the correct account, there should be option to manage the upgrades from the Manage Purchases page.

    Thanks, @arvindsinghu & @gemmacevans . Sorry for delay took me a while to find which site it was, but it is for thebhlf.com . and my username is different, so I’m going to figure all that out and hopefully provide a little more information once I’ve wrapped my head around it myself.

    Wel after reading the policy and accessing my account, I’m pretty much sitting on this site for another year. I understand it’s your policy, there’s really nothing you can do about this situation. I guess if I delete the site now completely, can I be rid of this and not have to worry about the recurring charge next year? #burned

    Thanks for replying from the correct account.

    We are still able to refund you for the recent renewal payment, but there are a few things that need to happen first:

    Please confirm that you are sure you wish to cancel the domain, thebhlf.com. If you cancel it you might not be able to register that domain again in future, so you should only cancel if you no longer want it at all.

    Then we’ll also need to revert the site to how it was before you first installed plugins on it. There is a small risk that some content might be lost during this process, but more importantly, any plugins you have installed will immediately stop working, and if you’re using a custom theme or one of our Premium themes, the site will go back to a default free theme.

    Please confirm if we can go ahead with this process, and I can make sure everything is reverted and cancelled, and refund your payment.

    Yes, I can confirm that I wish to cancel the domain, thebhlf.com. I fully understand I may not be able to register it in the future.

    I’ve changed the site to a free theme and I have deactivated plugins from the site.

    I can confirm you are safe to proceed with the process.
