  I have been trying to close my account for months. I have followed the instructions through the purchases page but the option to cancel Is just not there. WordPress make it extremely difficult for you to leave once they have your payment details. No one to contact via email, only a public forum. I would like to cancel my subscription please

  I’m not showing you have any paid upgrades under your account for the site andbreathyogaretreats.wordpress.com, so you shouldn’t be prevented from closing your account.

  If your purchase was made on a different account, let us know the site URL and we’ll be able to look into this further.

  I am being prevented from closing my account. I have been trying to close the account and stop the payment for months. I am not getting anywhere with word press so have tried to block your paymebeing taken out via my bank.
  It is $9 per month word press takes out. I fo not use your company at all. Please stop the payment immediately. I am not able to do this from my account. This shouldn’t be so difficult.

  Can you please let me know the address of the site associated with that charge so I can have a look and determine if it’s hosted here on WordPress.com or somewhere else?

  As noted, there are no WordPress.com upgrades or charges associated with that URL or the WordPress.com user site you are posting from.

  So this either means that you have a second WordPress.com user account and site that DOES have an upgrade. Or that the charge is coming from another business and you have confused them with us.

  The easiest way to sort this out will be to use the “why was I charged” tool:

  Why was I charged?

  Take a look and let us know if anything is unclear or you have any further questions.

  Okay, we’ve tracked down the charge!

  However, the upgrade (and the site itself) are owned by another WordPress.com user. You’ll need to log into THAT account in order to make any changes. You will not be able to cancel the subscription or close the site until you log into the user account that owns the site.

  If you do not have access to that second account, here are a few options:
