WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours. https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
See here:
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/Dashboard > Store > Billing History
http://en.support.wordpress.com/Billing-History/Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
Note that I am tagging this thread for Staff follow-up.

My account auto-renewed so I want the refund for this year and cancel disable auto-renews.
The upgrade page has not provision for refund as it is more than 30 days from my initial upgrade -

Your WordPress.com Premium Plan has been removed and refunded (£74.00). Please keep in mind that it takes 1-2 weeks for the transaction to show up on your financial statement.
If you’d also like the Domain Mapping Upgrade for ikyra.co.uk removed and refunded, let me know, and I will be happy to oblige.

Thank you & yes please could you also cancel & refund the domain mapping upgrade. Thanks.

Hi, I’d like a refund on a recent auto renewal of my Premium subscription (kaslosummits.wordpress.com).
When I’ve clicked on “Cancel this upgrade,” I get a message informing me I can’t receive a refund because the 30-day period has passed. But the auto renewal debited my bank account on April 17, only 5 days ago!
Thanks so much for your help.

@thelichens
I’d be happy to cancel kaslosummits.com, your WordPress.com Premium Plan, and refund the associated charge.
Before I proceed, there are a few points I need to cover.
If we cancel your domain, it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and we can’t guarantee that your domain will be available to you again, once canceled.
If you want to keep using your domain, but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site, using the Domain Administration tool under Store > Domains, at the bottom of the page.
For more information on using the domain elsewhere, please see:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-management/
Once you confirm how you’d like to proceed, I will get started processing your transaction :-)

On Dec 28, 2014 at 19:08:03 PST my account was charged the “No Ads for http://providershelper.wordpress.com Item# 12” $30.00 fee.
I need to make sure my account has been canceled and closed. I notify your staff last year to close this account, I need conformation that this account has been closed and canceled. Please cancel the website and close the account ASAP. If I am still eligible please refund the $30.00 fee.
Thank you

Signed up today for a word press today, tried to cancel, but was not sent a confirmation e-mail. Could you make sure it is indeed canceled? Thank you!
