Cancel wordpress.com premium subscription

    Cancel wordpress.com premium…I am needing to cancel our wordpress.com premium subscription effective immediately. I am not sure how to do it, but it keeps redirecting me to customer service so hopefully this is the way to go.

    You can transfer a domain to another registrar once 60 have passed from the date of registration. There are instructions here:

    What you may want to do instead is simply point your domain to a new webhost using these instructions:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/

    If you cancel a domain, it is held by the domain registrar and may be sold in auction or otherwise made unavailable to you.

    If you wish to use it with a different hosting platform, in most cases all you need to do is update the nameservers as indicated above. For a few platforms they require a bit more assistance (A Records/CNAMEs), so if that’s the case in your situation, just let Staff know what needs to be updated.

    You can also transfer the domain to a different registrar. There is no cost to do so but the new registrar will likely require you to renew it for at least one year with them.

    We have actually never activated the domain access. We used the blog temporarily for inventory photos, but have since switched companies and use a different company for our actual website. When I was cleaning out the desk of the previous internet manager’s desk, I came across a subscription receipt for premium service for wordpress. Since we do not use it to host our website, and that’s what I am assuming this is for, I am just wanting to cancel that membership. I am assuming we get to keep the free blog address, right? Sorry, I’m just not familiar with this too much and am needing help. Thanks!

    I do not see any upgrades for the user brandimuenstermanmotors. The domain muenstermanmotors.com was not registered with WordPress.com and is currently pointing to yahoo.com.

    If you have a premium account, perhaps it’s under a different username or for a different site?
