Canceled a domain, now it's not available anymore?

  Dear support,

  A friend wanted to register a domain today but accidentally used my account because I was still logged in on that computer.

  After we noticed, we canceled the domain on my account in order to make it available again. But now neither of us can register.

  Can you please tell us how to register again?

  can take a couple of weeks or so for a name to be MAYBE released to the wild where you can purchase it again – Note – the registrar does not need to release the name

  best is to see if the staff can retrieve the name for you then you can start using it now – then after 60 days transfer the name to the correct account (the 60 days is an internet anti-fraud rule)

  Hi, @grossstadtregen

  I don’t see any record of a domain being purchased by your account. Do you perhaps have another WordPress.com account? If you can reply here using the account with which you bought the domain, and also tell me what the actual domain is, I can check for you whether we’re still able to recover it.

  Note that if you cancelled the domain immediately after registering it, it should become available again after a few days, as @auxclass also pointed out, but we cannot guarantee that it will become available again as that is completely in the hands of our registrar.
