canceling domain

  I purchased a domain with godaddy over a year ago when I was using a different host and tried to have it mapped to wordpress but couldn’t get the name servers to work. So it is on my list of domains but I don’t know how to use it. I wanted to let it expire on godaddy and then purchase it with wordpress. It is now expired there but I can’t figure out what to do next.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  If your custom domain is now available for purchase, you can go to your WordPress.com site’s Dashboard, click Store, and Add a Domain.

  Go through the process of registering the “new” domain and let me know if you have any questions at all!

  It is available for purchase, but when I try to do so, it says that I have already mapped it to my blog so it won’t let me purchase it! I was wondering if I can take the mapping part off and then just start over?

  You bet! I canceled the mapping subscription and refunded the $13 for that upgrade. Now, you can start fresh :)
