  I need to cancel my plans for now to set up a website. Thanks much.

  Hi there,

  What exactly do you want to cancel? You do not own any upgrades with us, only two free sites that cost you nothing, and that you can just set to private in your account if you don’t want to use them right now – when you’re ready to use them they’ll still be there.

  If you want to completely delete those sites you can do so at My Site ->Settings, but note that if you do that those addresses will not be available for you to use again in future.

  Or if you completely want to close your WordPress.com account you can do that from your account settings in https://wordpress.com/me/account/. However, please note if you do that both your username and all sites in your account will be deleted completely, and you won’t be able to use them again in future.
