Canceling Premium Account

  My premium upgrade has expired, and I don’t want to renew it. I would like to delete my WordPress account, but I can’t figure out how. Under My Site, I go to Settings and under General I go down to Delete Site, but then a window pops up saying I have premium upgrade that needs to be canceled before deleting the site. I click Manage Purchases to cancel my upgrade but I can’t find the option to do so anywhere. It only allows me to renew it or upgrade it. How can I cancel the upgrade when it’s already expired?

  Provided you are logged in under the exact same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

  Hi there,

  I can definitely help you with cancelling both your custom domain and premium plan.

  So that we are on the same page, once you decide to cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it.

  If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site, using the Domain Administration tool under Store > Domains, at the bottom of the page.
