Canceling premium free trial account. What about my domain?

  I participated in the premium free trial for 14 days. I created a custom domain tressaffiliates.com for free. Now that my trial is up, I find it too expensive to purchase the domain through WordPress. I would like to cancel my domain and take it to another site. How would I go about doing this?

  I’d be happy to cancel tressaffiliates.com and your WordPress.com Premium Plan Trial.

  Before I proceed, there are a few points I need to cover.

  If we cancel your domain, it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and we can’t guarantee that your domain will be available to you again, once canceled.

  If you want to keep using your domain, but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site, using the Domain Administration tool under Store > Domains, at the bottom of the page.

  Thank you for your help with this matter. I would like to cancel the subscription and move the domain to another site. Since I got the domain free in the trial I am going to have to pay for it now. Would I be able to do that through another site? I would prefer to not have to pay the $26 to secure it through WordPress.

  I’ve removed your WordPress.com Premium Plan, as requested.

  If you do not want tressaffiliates.com to be registered through WordPress.com, I will need to cancel it. If it passes through the cancellation process without being registered by another party, you will be able to register it elsewhere, in several weeks.
