  I want to cancel my account and stop paying WordPress. I have contacted someone and replied to them, but it is a no reply email address!!! How on earth do I contact WordPress? I only have a vague idea who they are, but I am paying them for something I no longer use. They have access to my bank account but I cannot contact them. Is there anyone there who I can speak to?

  Hello there,

  You would need to recover the account connected to that site, and this can be done via the use of a transaction ID, located on the statement of the card used.

  You can also request a refund for the charge here: https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/

  Hi there,

  The second account you used to post here, stbenedictbb, is the correct account that owns that upgrade.

  Log in as that account again, and you’ll be able to cancel all your upgrades from https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

  We can also cancel the upgrades for you, but note that cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future.

  Please confirm if you’re sure you want us to cancel the domain.

  We will need this confirmation to come from the stbenedictbb account, as that’s the account that owns the upgrades.

  Also don’t reply to the email notification you’re getting of my reply here. You’re not being helped by email. You’re being helped in the WordPress.com support forums where you created a thread at https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/cancellation-254/.
