Cancellation
-
Can I change my mind?
Can I just cancel everything?
I have no idea what I’m doing and this is just one hassle after another.
I don’t know how to set up a blog, or a hosting something or whatever, and I have no idea what wordpress is (even though I played around with it yesterday)
I don’t know how to redirect the domain, I don’t even know what that means.
Hostgator wants a copy of my ID, someone else wants some tax form filled, this is the biggest mess I’ve ever gotten myself into and I need OUT immediately before I go nuts.
So, please cancel whatever is there to cancel and forget about everything, I have no time for this and I have no one to help me build this website/blog/domain/or whatever.
If there is any money to return, please return it, if not then just cancel my subscription or membership or whatever the name is, just ERASE me from your site.
Thank you for your time and help and I’m sorry for any inconveniences.

Hi Dania,
I am a fellow volunteer who’s trying to help on this forum. So, I don’t have any access to know about your purchases. But I can help you sort this out.
As far as I see, you seem to own a free website with WordPress.com.However, you can check your Manage Purchases page to check if you have purchased anything. If yes, you can cancel it right away and claim a refund.
To get a refund, you need to cancel your upgrades before 30 days of purchase. If you are under expiration period, you can claim for a refund.Refer this link to claim your refund:

Thank you for your prompt reply, I really appreciate it.
As you can see in that email (which is the template I sent to everyone I had something to do with) I’m totally overwhelmed with all the things that making a blog/website requires.
I didn’t pay anything to WordPress, I already contacted Hostgator and they replied, I also contacted a few more (that I can’t even remember their names) I had asked for help setting up this thing.
I just want OUT-OUT-OUT. I tried yesterday almost all day long and I got a domain name that I paid for which I’m sure I can’t get that money back now because is already paid for a year, now that’s all totally useless because I can’t setup the hosting thing simply because I don’t have the slightest idea of what to do or even where to begin, and not enough time to find someone to teach me.
Uff! Enough ranting, thanks again, I should’ve studied this better before jumping into it, lesson learned. -
Hello Diana,
I can help you out with this. From whom have you purchased the domain name?
As you have purchased the domain name yesterday itself, I believe you still hold a chance to get a refund.
Also, mention the domain name you purchased.Apart from that, I see you hold a site ‘drgaldo.wordpress.com’ with WordPress.com for free. Having a self-hosted site can be bit confusing. WordPress.com is much simpler platform.

My dear, I truly appreciate that you are offering to help me, but I decided to not continue with this (at least for now) I have exams coming up a storm and this techy stuff is taking my brain to the melting point of no return.
I’d love to be able to do it, but I think it’ll be best if I do some research first and for that, I don’t have time right now because I’m getting ready to take my GRE examination as well as applying to graduate school and lots of more craziness going on in my life.
So, this mumbo-jumbo can definitely go all the way to the back burner, indefinitely.
