I don’t want to renew my subscription and I request a refund of a renewal fee C$144.00 charged to my credit card, according to a receipt [redacted by staff]. The WordPress website does not allow me to do that, stating I don’t have any purchases. It appears to be a scam. What can I do about it?

On the account you’re reaching us from, there are no WordPress.com sites, so there can’t be any active subscriptions. You likely have another WordPress.com account with a paid upgrade, however, nothing comes up when I look for the receipt you mentioned.
Please have a look here how to find a transaction ID: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transaction-id/
Once you have that, please search for the charge at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ (do NOT post the transaction ID here, in the forum).
Instead, use the Contact Us link on that page to contact our billing support team directly for further help with this – to track down the transaction we’ll need to get some additional information from you which we cannot discuss here in the public forums.
